Engine Mount Fitting (help please)

   Hello I would like a very simple guide of how I go about replacing my top engine mount near ecu as it snapped yesterday and the car vibrates like I don't know what.

   Remove Ecu (2x8mm bolts
   
   Remove Ecu tray (2x 8mm bolts, 1x 8mm nut)
   
   support engine with a jack under the sump
   
   undo the 3/4 Torx bolts holding the engine mount/bridge to the engine
   
   undo the 2x 13mm bolts holding the engine mount to the chassis
   
   Remove them both
   
   Fit new bolt between engine mount and bridge
   
   refit and torque up

   easy if you have a toolkit with the right parts.
   
   I'd say all in around 1hour ish to do it.

   Hi guy's, this is the closest thread I have to the problem I have with my Saxo VTR.
   
   I have a 2001 Limited Edition two tone VTR and people still tell me they like the car, makes you smile every time.
   
   I hear people say that the Saxo is crap and all sorts but I've had this car from new and only really changed the exhaust pipe and all the wear and tear stuff that needs doing, OK it's only done 55k on the clock but the car has never troubled me starting, not even in the winter but I do have one big problem which no one can sort out.
   
   The whole car vibrates so badly, people couldn't figure it out and then they noticed the engine mount near the ECU had snapped, It was replaced but just two days gone and the vibrations are back as they were and the engine mount is still on tight?
   
   Even after driving the car like this for a few years my baby is still going, my cousin has looked at it many times and he is puzzled by it because the engine mount is OK now, it's been checked many times.
   
   The whole car vibrates and it's not nice, it's loud shakes and when you look out the back window it's a blur.
   
   It's getting to much for me now and getting fed up as no one can find the problem, I'm hoping someone on here might have been through this before and could guide me.

   lower mount possibly, at the back of the gearbox

   Agreed, sounds like the lower mount is dead. You've only replaced the upper mount under the ECU yes?

   If it is a VTR it will be 3 16mm nuts on the support arm not torx bolts and if they are torx bolts they will be T50
