nearside rear wheel bearing gone i need help please!?

    the nearside rear whel bearing has gone on my vts, can somone pleasegiv me a couple of rough prices on how much a new wheel bearing would cost? part on its own and part with fitting costs aswell please?
    also are they easy enough to do myself? ive ben told difficult because a hydraulic press is needed??

    It's the norm to change the bearing with the hub. As they come complete together.

    Cost wise they're around the £60/£70 mark. This can be changed at home with a decent puller.

    AFAIK the bearing itself can be pressed in and out of the hub if you have access to a press. I think the bearings on their own are around £20 upwards.

    so ar you saying it would be easier to just buy the hub cos the bearing is already in it? then just change them over?

    pull the hub off buy a bearing set for it and take the hub and new bearing too a garage to have them pressed in should cost sod all to do, just your time and effort and cost of the bearings,may aswell do the other side while your at it,
    do it once do it right

    oh right does sound lke a good idea ive been ringing around and ive just had a quote for a rear hub with bearing for £85 i didnt think that was a bad price?? plus i'll be able to do it myself then wont i?
