Misfire, please help!!!!

  1. #1
My Saxo has been misfiring for the past 3 weeks, since the head gasket has been done, it's had the coilpack done, spark plugs done, cambelt done, lambda sensor done YET still misfiring every time I start the car and pull away (for about one minute then it's fine)

The misfires are worse / severe right after refueling the car, don't know if this gives a better indication to what it is??????

    Please help

best bet might be to take it to local dealership / garage to get it on dyno m8

Was it done in a garage or by your self or a friend/ect ?

garage, but they reckon they've exhausted every possibility now and don't have the necessary kit to check other bits, so fed up.

Oh ok i was going to say might not of been skimmed proply but if it was a garage it should of been hmmm :\

exactly, just weird how it misfires worse after sticking fuel in the car - trying to drive out of petrol stations is a mission lol

Call the garage and ask them, But if they have cocked up i wouldnt take it back there

how much should of been skimmed off the head out of curiousity?

the minimum, its only skimmed to make sure its flat and not warped at all.

try taking it to citroen, they charge £60(+vat ) to do the diagnostics but since you seem to have tried everything else they may be able to source it.

one of my vts's has a misfire at the moment so im sort of in the same boat. luckily we have a citroen garage in town now but they couldnt source mine as this vts has had a lot of unnecessary bits taken off it. going to change the lambda and see if that sorts it

they correctly diagnosed a standard vts that i bought with a misfire before though so its not always a waste of £70, it just was this time for me
