should i take the risk ?

    I've found a ecu with the same ecu number as my as my vtr ecu but this one is a peugeot 306 ecu but i rang the dealer he said it would fit because there both french models but then he said it might need programming to my car so should i take the risk of buying it or not any advice would help cheers

    nah i wouldnt bother.
    steer clear from other ecus from another car...

    he did say it might work .. but i do really need a new ecu as mine has Immobilised and its a massive ballache tryin to find another one unlocked

    Itll be programmed completely different, different fuelling etc etc

    im sure the vtr one is fine?>

    mines locked me out and its Immobilised so got told i need a new one

    If you need one that badly, look hard for a delocked one mate. I put another ECU on my old VTS and it just didnt work. Started then cut out. The other ECU will be programmed to time the fuel etc to the other car and with it being a different car i would not risk it. If it was same car as yours, maybe but still not worth it.

    also you know as people get ecus unlocked could i or my mechanic be able to unlock mine ?
    so then my Immobiliser will be deactivated?

    some auto electricians can do them just have a ring round ask what you got to loose.

    Just send yours off for unlocking, will cost between £50 and £100
