Shock Inserts

   Right, hopefully somebody will know the answer to this one. Basically car went into the garage to get driveshafts sorted, now this garage are trustworthy and wouldnt rip my family off as we have about 3-5 cars that go in for MOT's and regular services etc so they always get work from us. But on the bill i got today, they had also re-assembled a shock insert. Just wondering how this is possible if it is after market shocks (spax), surely they would of given me a phone call to OK this as it was aftermarket and not just straight forward oem parts. Any info/input would be appreciated.

   The shock inserts are sealed units!

   ask what was involved.
   
   could of replaced a top mount, drop link or new dust cover, but put it under that heading...
