Engine Problem - Video Clip!

   Hey, quick details of what happened.
   
   Was driving to pickup my dad from work, engine conked out and stalled, started it back up stalled again. Now i can't get it any higher than 2nd gear and the engine is rockin like it's got a v12 in it.. shakes the whole car, gearstick and exhaust are rocking ALOT too.. also no pressure really building up in the exhaust.
   
   Sounds like it's miss firing etc etc, took out the coilpack to have a look and 1 of the pipes were a bronze where the others where clean.

   when you say you can get it any higher than second gear do you mean it wont go in gear? and do you have a engine management light on?

   it goes in gear, but it will stall as tho it's tied to a tree

   sounds like a multiple missfire, more than likely its a coilpack unit thats at fault, have you got a test unit you can try, if not get one from a scrappy, coilpack would be a good place to start imo

   I'd try swapping coil packs with someone.

   does it have to be from a vtr the coil pack

   also, remove all 4 spark plugs, and remove the coil pack unit, plug the spark plugs in the unit and watch the electrodes, see if they spark (unless you have spark testers) you may find its not spraking properly

    yeah, checked 2 plugs, they were pretty worn out and one looked burnt (the one which fits into the coilpack where i said it had a bronze fork and the other 3 were clean) will check if they spark now

    id check the coilpack mate first,compression test it,spark plugs,you get the picture,sounds like a proper tractor lol.who was recording the video he cant record for shit,all i could see was his fingers lol

    Sounds like bottom end to me, thought the videos aren't the best

    from the video clips it does sound as though the bottem end has went on it as it sounds as thought its banging it tits off?? sounds the same as when the bottom end went on me nova.

    I would not suspect bottom end, people seem to be guessing a bit here. As it is shaking and missing 1 or 2 pots then as above coilpack and a new set of plugs would be first thing on my list. You don't get misfires when main/big ends are gone just noise and more vibes and they don't go bad in an instant like your problem has started off.

    this sounds like my old car colin do you remember the rwarrr from the corsa haha ! hope you get it fixed soon as i want some saxo photos shots !!!LOL id say get it hooked up for agiagnostics check and then start with coil pack and spark plugs also check any air leeks ?
