what is a fair price for vtr conversion

    just brought a 106 quikisilver and as its a 1.4 i want to put a 1.6 into the car.
    my question is what is a fair price for :
    - vtr engine,inlet,ecu,clutch and injector rail???

    £100-150 for the parts above, dependent on mileage. I wouldnt fit a second hand clutch, if youve got it all apart you may aswell fit a new unit (£90). Labour will be between £200 and £500 depending on who you get to do it for you. Other service items will come to around £75.

    well ive been quoted £400 for labour.
    bouns then ill get looking for a vtr engine.
    does anyone know if the blacktop cams (for example the xsi) will fit early 90bhp silvertop?
