braking pin

    Hi all

    Long story but my sister has a saxo vtr and her boyfriend took the axle off to replace bushes and then they split and ive had to rebuild it but becuase i didnt dismantle it im struggling,

    i have 2 securing pins that came from some where on the calipers or hubs but i cant see where, can any 1 help

    How big are they? Could just be the ones of the slider on the brake caliper

    about 8-10mm long

    Not sure if this makes sense... but on the rear calipers, there's an L shaped bit of metal on the bottom which you hammer under the lugs of the brake pads to secure them.

    There's a hole in the said bits of metal for you to pop the pin into - you might need to hammer the bit of metal out to allow you to slot the pin in, then hammer it back the other way.

    nice one cheers mate, im just not used to saxos and im ready for driving it off a cliff with myself strapped firmly inside

    Number 2 is the said bit of metal, number 1 is the pin.

    Quite a handy site for some bits as the 8V engines/ rear brakes etc. are the same as what's fitted to the Saxo/ 106.
