Spacers... if you have a knowledge of them help me please (:

So.. im getting my car lowered 30mm and i was wondering if i should get spacers for my wheels..
I am thinking 20mm or maybe 15.. or something..
ive found some 20mm ones for a cheap price but they are universal?
Will this be a problem? What does hubcentric mean? designed for the size of the car?

    http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/20mm-Alloy-whe...#ht_1746wt_939

those are the spacers i am quierying.

    Will me wheels wobble?
Im running standard VTR alloy wheels 14"
With some cheap admiral tires, not low profile.

    And will it cause rubbing?
    cheers guys

Get the hubcentric spacers that bolt to the hub, the wheels then bolt to the spacer and have a lip/flange that the wheel sits on like the hub itself.

if you get the universal ones without the lip/flange then you will get wheel wobble at speed cos you can never get the wheel as centrally located as you can on the hub.

you get what you pay for, if you go for standard universal spacers as shown, then wheels will wobble, and you will eat bearings as it puts a greater pressure on that are. (i do believe so anyway). If you want to keep stress levels, and safe as universal ones like that arent particually safe when you get to 15/20mm, id get proper hubcentric spacers, where you bolt them to the hub and then bolt your wheel onto the spacer, as the centre of the wheel sits on the lip like an original hub.

    hope this helps
