rear axle bushes?

    hi, anybody ever changed rear axle bushes?i got them out not easy but they are out, now the bushes i bought have a metal outer and the ones that came out were plastic, they look the same but for some reason dont want to go in? please help lol matt

    Hammer them in, normally the hard part is getting them out!

    iv tryed hammering them in, they just dont seem to be the right size, are peugeot the same bushes? does anybody know where i can get the plastic casing bushes rather than the metal ones i have bought, gettin them out was easy just brute force of hammering them out. iv also noticed upgraded ones anybody know where i can get them cheap? thanks

    I've got powerflex ones on my beam which are very easy to fit. I presume the ones you have are a revised part by citroen and will probably need to be pressed in

    do you have to buy them in a pack of 4 or can you buy them individualy as i only want the two? i only want cheap ones really as im only selling the car

    uprated ones come in packs of 4. Did you get the other ones from Citroen?

    cover the new bushes in a lubricant ,fairy liquid will do. Then bash them in with a lump hammer ,should go in smoothly
