power steering

    When I first start my car up it Has no power steering. When I rev it a lil the power steering works again. Does this just lately but every time I start the car up..anyone know what the problem is I had a new battery and had the alternator checked and that was fine

    the pump might be on the way out not building up fluid pressure

    hey man my car has been doing the same thing too recently, sometimes takes a good while to get going! i will update if i find out more, but my power steering fluid is topped up fine! let me kno if u come across any news on the matter as well. cheers

    maybe air locks? try turning full lock side to side couple ot times to bleed it

    take the cap off the pump, with the engine runnin do full lock either way a few times, should purge any air out.
    if that doesnt help the pumps on the way out probably, or a bad earth.
    earths easy to check its a green and yellow wire coming from the pump.
