Foglight cold air feed.

  1. #1
Plan is to get the foglight, remove the front glass and mesh the front.

Then smooth out the inside and attach a normal cold air feed from the back.

It looks theres room down there as the original air pipe goes down there anyways.

Anyone got some pictures of advice on my doing this?

Was looking at mine when I stripped them apart and thought it would be easy to do aswell. Only thing I'd be bothered about is that its very low down and wouldn't take a lot to pick up water lol.

if you make the bend really sharp and make it vertical up to the the box it shouldnt be that bad with water should it?
  4. #4
Maybe, but the engine does 'suck' a fair bit. Plus what would that be like for airflow?

Yeah its like a 90 bend upwards. And cant really see much water getting in there tbh.

Will have the mesh to stop any leaves etc.

Iv done this before, and it looked shit

note that the glass pertrudes the plastic by about 1cm so upon fitting there was a big gap round the edge which looked shit!

Only way around it would be to smooth it into the bumper.

Just trying to give you the heads up

Fibreglass and smooth all inner edges of the inner foglight would look good I think.

    is it glass??

if its just plastic you could just drill holes into the lence so that the cover is still there to fill the gap?

I bought the fog scoops from Demon Tweeks and just screwed through the front bumper, depends what look your going for but I like the look of mine!

they look sweet you have a link??

I bought them ages ago mate, really couldnt remember where they are on the website, just have a browse on the demontweeks website, something like cooling, scoops etc.
I also had to chop one edge down as they are flat across the front whereas the saxo bumper curves round a bit.

Just a note on the drivers side one, theres the horn behind the fog. I had to relocate the horn to be able to get the air feed round and out. Not a big job though.
