Help needed - Rear light/Brake light faulty

   The offside light is fine and does not have any issues but the nearside light won't work properly no matter what i've tried!
   
   The rear light wasn't working at all so I looped it from the other rear light, but instead of the normal light coming on, it comes on as a brake light (brighter). The only way I've found round this happening is to put the bulb in upside down, which then shines the correct brightness but means I have no brake light on that side.
   
   Any advice on how I may be able to fix this would be grately received!

   Try changing the bulb. Note that the bulb is called a "stop and tail" type as it has 2 fillaments inside and I suspect your normal "lights on" filament has broken and the other "brake light" one is okay.
   
   If you look at it carefully you will see them inside the bulb.
   
   Make sure you put it back the rigt way otherwise you will have brake lights on with siode lights and visa versa.

   yep you have the wrong bulb mate ,or your brake light switch is dodgy
