i wouldnt worrie about the manifold as the standard vts manifold is a 4-2-1 anyway.
decat will just free everything up higher up in the revs. might bog down abit low end tho. shouldnt need a remap.

just fit the manifold today was a pain taking the old lambda sensor out of manifold to fit new. just managed to get it to reach round back of engine to new manifold as the fitting was lower lower down on the new manifold.

when i fitthe new manifold to the cat i used a new gasket and gasket sealant but it felt like it did not fuly pull together on one side due to the shapes etc. will it be fine with the sealant or will it blow? cheers sounds wicked tho.

forgot to say i turned engine on after it was fitted to warm up sealant for 5 mins then left it with the engine off for an hour

why did you get it remapped? you only need to map a car at the very least if you have cams with yours mods it would be a lot of money for hardly any gain

the guy who i bought it off his friend worked at a tuning company so he did it for him with his lap top

oh rite fair enough, but usually remaps cost about £250-300 on my old fiesta xr2i i was quoted about £300 for about 8bhp lol they are only worthwhile on a standard car if you have a turbo, the best results are on turbo diesels usually could get at least a good 30bhp i was looking at some for a 130bhp golf and they said i would end up with 175bhp so an extra 45bhp but i would take that with a massive pinch of salt lol

yeah 45bhp sounds a lot. took car out for drive then and exhaust sounds like its blowing a bit where new manifold meets the cat but ill put up with it for 2 weeks till i get mydecat pipe as the flange is flat on the de cat pipe and the new manifold so will be a very good seal but car still pulls better from lower revs and sounds meatier
