speedo sensor

   hi all , after searcing on the problem page , i cant really find an exact answer...
   
   what it is , my speedo tends to jump up and down . and sometimes gets stuck and then recognises its speed
   
   any ideas on how much it would cost to replace ??

   you tried cleaning the connection behind your dials?

   Hi JAGVTS, I have called Citroen today about the very same problem. £250 + labour + VAT at Citroen.
   
   I have the same problem with my P reg 1.1i (and I have had the problem for as long as I can remember!) but recently trip counter has been on the blink too. I have had garages look at the transducer in the gearbox, etc... reluctant to get the instruments changed, but I think it is finally time.
   
   Would anyone know the model number for the instruments in my P Reg 1.1i SX? Then I can find a second hand set and save money on the garage looking for me. Would any set of instruments fit?
