gearbox bearings

   ok i'm getting tired of my gearbox sounding like it's chewing itself to bits.
   
   so where can i get gearbox bearings?
   I've seen them on ebay but for nearly £80 i could get another box.
   does anyone know of anywhere else?
   
   also is it like just to be the input shaft bearing?

   Any crunching when changing gears?
   
   Or just bearings whining when on the move?

   gear changes are sweet, never jumps out of gear, easy to select, no crunching. spot on.
   
   I get the noise you'd associate with thrust bearing, but when you pull away and slow down in first it's real bad, all the into 3rd now.
