new to the site

   ok am new to the site here, just bought a furio there last week,
   
   i know it will never set the world on fire, but i have only passed my test and cant insure a vtr or vts,
   
   so this will do
   
   it has a powerflow backbox on it and an air filter,
   but its not really loud enough, i aint looking for speed jut a nice noise from it,
   what exhaust would be best for this?
   maybe something that would spit or pop when coming down through the revs
   
   would a raceland fourbranch make much difference?

   ive got raceland mani and straight pipe all the way to the rear box loud enough to know your comming and it pops once you have got it nice and warm

   cats dont do f**k all difference to to sound, on my old vtr engine i had a 4 branch manifold, and a straight through superprint center pipe with a oem back box and it was very quiet hardly any louder than standard, whereas my mate in his 1.1 saxo only had a dustbin for a back box and it was deafening, most of the sound is quietened down in the back box and 4 branch manifolds only keep the gasses flowing easier again dont really make a massive amount of difference to the sound, i remember being very disappointed when i fitted my 4 branch and it didnt make a nice sound lol
   
   im not saying de-catting and 4 branch manifolds arent worth to money as that is where a good power increase can be had just saying doesnt effect the sound a great deal

    with the supersprint backbox and centre section, was dissapointed with the noise, too bassy and no rasp, and wasnt as loud as i wouldve liked, sounded muffled. put in a piper 4-1 manifold and it now sounds raspy as hell, pops, and alot louder, im guessing it would change the noise differently depending on your setup, as it helped alot with mine!

    I have a loud backbox on mine im wanting rid of, i can post a vid if u want. I mean its very very loud

    Apparently some people say instead of getting a supersprint center pipe just get a mk2 1.1 center pipe as they are straight through (no cat, no silencer) and apparently this with a good back box sounds very raspy, there was a thread saying this yesterday I believe, someone was saying he sold his supersprint and bought a 1.1 exhaust and apparently it sounded better lol just a little cheap tip for ya i personally wouldn't do it as I'm probably a bit of a snob i wouldn't want a 1.1 pipe on my vts lol

    well mines a mk 2 vtr, cat in the fanimold, supersprint centre section better quality etc, wouldnt be putting cheap ass 1.1 exhaust on my baby

    yea i dont blame you lol a 4 branch with a full supersprint would sound good mine sounded shit because ive smoothed over my exhaust recess so at the mo until i get a custom backbox made up ive gotta have a shit 1.1 back box on my car as it sits behind the bumper lol
    this is my car when i still had my vtr engine in and a 4 branch and supersprint pipe, sounds quite nice in this video but was quiet
