nothing has to be changed there are mounting points to fit it, and you can use the standard pipes, the lower pipe just needs to be cut, other wise if you don't want to cut the oem one you'll just need a mk2 vts hose, but if you get colored ones don't buy a vts top hose as it'll come with the oil cooler pipes which your car doesn't have, so you'll need an 8v top rad hose or a 106 gti top hose as it doesn't have the oil cooler and a 16v bottom rad hose (so basically a kit made for the 106 gti)

fan wise i fitted a slimline fan and as i bought it secondhand (was only a week old) it didn't come with all the clips as my mate threw them away so i just got 4 long cable ties and cabled tied it to the rad i did it pretty neat so looks fine and i put two spade connectors on the end of the fan wires and plugged the spade connectors in to my oem connector on the loom

well as your fitting a larger rad the original fan wont fit as the brackets are for the smaller rad, if you buy a vtr one cough cough you could use the original fan lol my vtr never went over half way with my nissens rad im sure it could very easily cope with your furio engine lol

it alright im sure someone else will want it, just seams to be a waste of some money by buying a bigger one just so it fills up the front end when the smaller one would do the job perfectly fine but i don't hold grudges haha i might try and flog it to a couple people in oxford with vtrs
