engine change

   I gots my vtr but the engine is gradually dying, dont think it will last much longer, would it be a straight swap to put in a vts lump, if not what else would need doing?

   you should search gets asked soooo many times and its annoying repeating answers every day, but cus im a nice guy lol
   
   you would need
   
   -engine (obviously)- with starter motor, alternator etc....
   -unlocked ecu
   -vts loom
   
   You might also want to get (but not essential)
   
   -gearbox
   -vts left hand side engine mount (vtr does fit)
   -rad and fan (vtr rad will do)
   -lower rad hose (vtr one will fit when its cut down)

   By unlocked ecu do you mean one off a vts?
   will the engine have to be from the same age car as mine because of the different types of loom aswell

   ye vts unlocked ecu, and like for like with the loom...single plug to single plug etc
