Airbag light

   Hi all,
   
   We changed my dials on my GTI the other day for digital ones, and the airbag light flashes for a little bit and then stays lit.
   
   I know that when i had the analogue dials, the air bag light was removed.
   
   So question is, how comes it's flashing up?
   
   Im looking at changing steering wheels soon anyway but just curious.

   Connections under the seat for the pre-tensioners come loose?

   Have a look under your front seats. There should be two wires. Make sure that both of these wires are plugged into their respective sockets.
   
   This got my light to go away.

   They are both connected, but i disconnected the drivers one and reconnected and it's gone. WTF? lol

   i have got the same prob with my mk 2. its just the sensor under the seat. with you moving the seat back and forward its disrupted the connections on the sensor. its nothing to worry about its just an advisory on the mot.
