Sportex or Janspeed 4-2-1 Manifold?

  1. #1
    Sportex £158
    Janspeed £188

    Much difference in them?
  2. #2
get the sportex as its cheaper
  3. #3
if there both mild steel then sportex as reason above but if janspeed is stainless then go for that as its lifetime garantee
  4. #4
do you need to move the oil filter on mk2 for the jan speed and sportex, sorry for hijack
  5. #5
I think you need to move the oil filter on the MK2 if you want to fix a Sportex, so I went for the Janspeed

If it's for the 16v then don't get any of the two above mani's, because you can get a raceland mani for £154 so it's cheaper than the sportex and janspeed and it's stainless steel too.

But if it's for an 8v Mk1, then again the raceland is cheaper, but mk2 the stainless raceland option is just under 200 I think an that avoids the filter so no need to relocate oil filter. But it's wether your willing to spend the extra 10 or 40quid for a stainless option that will last longer and look better but still gain the same plus means no messing around relocating oil filter so it's your choice on that one, personally I'd pay the extra for raceland mani due to it being stainless steel and not mild steel like sportex and janspeed but thats just me lol

i thought with the raceland 421 you needed to move the oil filter for the mk2?

Where do you get the raceland from?
  9. #9
if youve got a mk2 vtr you can fit the raceland 4-1 which misses the oil filter the 4-2-1 doesnt miss the oil filter

yer like jeffchiz said the raceland does a 4-1 which misses the filter on mk2 so you don't have to relocate it, and that's the one I said was or mk2 and is just under 200quid think it's £195 or sumin, so is bit
more than the normal 421 that is for mk1 ideally

i found sportex on ebay to fit around mk 2 filter but i could only see mk1 janspeeds which were ss
  14. #14
you sure it was janspeed you found for mk1?
cause im pretty sure janspeed only do mild steel manifolds for saxo/106s.
that is if you mean stainless steel by ss?
