Personally i would take them to a professional, i got quoted 120 pound for the full lot on mine and considering getting mine done round august/september time if i have a bit of money, if you do them yourself you would get all the essentials from Halfords i would imagne, primer/gloss black spray paint/clear lacquer etc etc.

go to some local bodyshops and get a quote

its really time consuming rubbing them down and doing the prep correctly and full removing the texture

Just sand them down, mask them up and spray lol, primer first (2 or 3 coats) then rub down, and then main coat, polly around 2 coats, then laquer it..will cost you about 30 quid all in lol

    harder than that

i would remove from car to do a proper job

you need to spend alot of time prepping them, you need to use 140-180 grit sandpaper thoroughly to start removing the texture and work your way up through 240-320-400, plastic primer about 2 coats, normal prime another 2 coats and then once dry wet sand with 800-1000 wet and dry

about 3 coats of colour and then about 3-4 coats of lacquer

If you are not really good with spraying and need to ask how to do it id suggest you get it done professionally because it isnt as easy as some people might say, to get a decent long lasting finish is very time consuming and a quick rub down and a few coats here and there will result in a shit finish!

i wud definately go pro on it you will get a more fuller colour i had mine done for cheap (know the painter)
but it is definately worth it [

I would try to smoove and flaten the plastic to remove the speckled effect, then using plastic primer then your good to go.

the texture needs completely removing my sanding before you put plastic primer on it, proper plastic pimer is very thin so won't fill in any bits missed
