Hey im looking at spraying the ABC pilliars in black, probably gloss black as ill have some left after my spoiler! isit hard to paint them or not? do they flake easily?

with it being a textured surface its a bit liek the outer black trim, they will need to be flattend off to make them flat, you could use high build primer but your still gonna have to rough them up in the grooved bits of the texture if you catch my drift so id rather sand them back completely, then a palstic primer and the gloss black and a good few coats of laquer
although you could just trim them or buy some black 106 gti a b and c pillars

yeah, if iwas more confident with spray i would, but probs best to buyu GTI ones, are they straight fit?
also headliners, can they be retrimmed in leather easy enough?

Yeah mate there a straight firt, think i bought some for about 16 quid posted, proper bargain, just search for 106 breaking on ebay and fire questions to them all
the headliner can be retrimmed, but they are a pain in the ass to put back in, easy with 2 pairs of hands though, you can buy fabric spray too that works just aswell, either way your gonna have to take the headliner out

It shouldnt really, its a hard headlining so usually they are fine

i got a can of satin black. didnt prep them and they were spot on. Looked exactly the same as the gti's and paint didnt flake etc

i have got my sprayed set sitting in the bottom of the garden. cover the cost of postage you can have them. They are probably scratched up now

trimming the headlining would be a pig of a job and probably sag after a week
spraying would work best imo

Headlining should not sag its a hard type healining no the soft ones you get in some cars
