hello guys, got a problem thats a bit strange!
the other day i pulled up at a mates and my car cut out before i could turn it off!
it then refused to start for, so i got a new fuel filter as i thought it was blocked but the problem was still there so i unplugged the map sensor and it started straight up, it was idleing abit high then that settled and it was fine.
i had lots of trouble finding a new map sensor because it seemed no other car had the same sensor as mine, but finally found one in milldenhall scrappy.
It was popping loads with the map sensor disconnected so i thought there was alot of unburnt fuel in the exhaust, but it wasent drinking fuel atall in fact it was probably better than when the (now broken) map sensor was connected!
so i swapped the sensors over and it started to drink fuel like it was before like 60 miles to a tenner
so ive unpluged it again and it uses alot less.
any ideas why it would be doing this?
sorry for long read!
