my current driveshafts on vts are gone currently no funds to get new ones although i do have the 1.4 shafts from other engine will they be ok to use as temporary or will it effect the engine/power??
1.4 driveshafts on vts engine???

#1

#2They wont fit in the VTS gearbox properly.
-
#4as db said they wont fit, you have to use either you can use any 'sports' model shafts, so thats vtr/vts/gti/rallye or xsi
only difference beiing due to the smaller diff in the gearbox on lower models the part of the shaft that goes into the gearbox is long so it wont fit into the 'sports' boxs properly
*edit* shame your so far away i have actually got a spare used driveshaft here that came off my s2 rallye so will fit your car -
#5they will fit just they will leak abit of oil
-
#6yea they will fit, i had vtr shafts in my 1.1 box on my vts engine (what a bloody explosion of random parts
) and yea it leaked a bit of oil but it worked for a good few hundred miles until my gearbox fell out
