cooked brakes

Basically i fried my brakes the other nite.

Went to brake goin down a hill and keept goin.

Big burning smell as well, ive lowered the back and I need to adjust the bias valve on the back.

My brakes are shit now compared.

    Need new brakes or what?

New fluid and check your pads and discs
  3. #3
could it be the fluid that has been cook?

Gott groved discs with greenstuff on front and standard on back
  4. #4
Greenstuff pads will probably be the problem.
  5. #5
    what do they do
  6. #6
I found mine to be occasionally okay, but the rest of the time they were useless. Blocks of cheese as pads would have been better.

I'm sure a lot of people on here would agree

I had EBC in my old punto gt and certainly wouldn't buy them again. As raunchz said change the fluid (as this is often overlooked) and pads.
  8. #8
replace your fluid as that will have possibly bubbled up making air bubbles in the system, and either sand the surface or replace the pads.

i can supply you with some much nicer mintex pads and some fluid aswell to flush the system

flush the system with dot5 fluid to start off with then grind the pads down with the old grinder ( I know rough as f*ck)
