So is ebay the place to go for second hand parts? And how can I tell if the stuff is legit etc. Sorry if this is newbie question.

    what do you mean legit?

Like good quality stuff not someone posting up some nice looking
Alloys but they turn out to be shit if you get me. Sorry if tis seems a
    bit of a random question.

ive never bought anything from ebay for my saxo but ive had no problem with the stuff i have bought. if your a bit worried about being ripped off only go with dealers that have good feedback and are based in england.

im totally different, i buy loads of mod for my saxo of ebay!

when u find something, check the sellers history, always contact the seller before bidding and buying, maybe ask them for more photo's.
if the case of buyin alloys, its very unlucky your get the postage, as they cost loads to post, so dont bid on them, just email the seller, sayin if i came to see the alloy and liked them, would you do a buy it now price!
you have to have a lot of trust on ebay but iv brought loads of stuff through ebay and never had a problem, you can get some great deals!

also if you get 100posts and been on here a month mate, the sale section on here is pretty good!

Ebay is alright most of the time, just check if the seller has good feedback. If its an ebay 'shop' they normally refund if youre not happy too.
I go on 1stchoice spares to get most of my stuff, you get loads of scrappies sending you quotes on parts you request. normally only standard parts though

For parts I usually use these: http://www.eurocarparts.com/ecp/p/Car-Parts free quick delivery. Put your reg in and it comes up with the parts for your car.

It can be decent if you know exactly what part you want to buy..

For example, I bought a ECU cover, some rear lights and some repeaters.
However when I searched I knew what I wanted and I found it all for decent prices.

However, if you just search "saxo alloys", most of the stuff that comes up will be shit.

If anyone gets what I mean.

I get what you mean mate, you only get a few things come up that you searched for, then the rest aint even anything to do what your searching for which is pretty shit init

If you're after something high value then go and look at it first before bidding. That way you cover your arse!

for mods i always go on ebay, some right bargains to be had on there, you just have make sure the seller can be trusted and has good feedback
