i am looking at upgrading to a vtr engine soon but will i need to get a 4 stud conversion as mine is a 3 stud or can i just use drilled and grooved and uprate rear shoes aswell
will i need to change to 4 stud for a vtr conversion

#2i think think you'll have to use 4 studs but if your putting a vtr engine in id rather fit vtr front suspension ie struts/arb/wishbones

#3if the drivshaft fit the you can keep 3 studs, i wouldnt know if they do tbh, but 3 stud suspension and brakes are sh1t anyway lol

#4You don't have to no. You can run a vtr on 1.0 shafts. When I was running 3-stud on my VTS let alone the old VTr engine I was using standard AX shafts and they lasted for ever lol. I was running ZX 2.0 brakes though which are about the same as VT stuff so I had no trouble stopping lol. 4-stud just gives you far better options if you want to go for better brakes in the future and you benefit from the ARB's etc.
