Rattly Exhaust

  1. #1
As above. I live very close to central london where there's nothing but speed bumos everywhere that catches my exhaust regardless on how slow I go over them, making my exhaust loose and rattly. So far I've tightened my exhaust every two months. Is there anything I can get that will stop it being so rattly? Like a tighter clamp? Perhaps kam racing will know of something?

    Cheers

Either use some spring washers or tighten the bolts up a bit more so they don't come loose. Are you sure the rattle is not coming from loose baffles actualy inside the system mate?

Is it possible to bend the hangers on the exhaust system where the rubbers sit so the exhaust is a bit closer to the floorpan and therefore further away from the speedbumps?

It should not come loose mate, I can see it being dented or bent but not loosening itself. Can you take it to a tyre exhaust place to get ti checked over maybe?
