mapped ecu

   If i was to buy a already remapped ecu off the same year car as mine, is it a simple case of just plugging it in?

   wont work properly unless you've got the same mods as the car which it cam off eg cams
   
   and i highly doubt your engine would be exactly same to the old engine which the ecu was mapped to

   yeah it could be slightly out so might not see the same gains, if its too far out it'll run pants and use too much fuel maybe. If the cam timing of the engine was adjusted at the same time and yours isnt the same then that will affect it as well
