spluttering and slowing down

   Nice day eh!
   
   tried doing a search but i couldnt find any think relating to my problem so here goes!
   
   anyways, the saxo starting spluttering and wouldnt rev/accelerate properly the other day at 40mph. Was fine, then bad then fine again. So i changed the plugs. They were all brown where they should be so firing ok but were worn and old (judging by oil etc on them and round the white bit). After a plug change it was fine for a few days and on the way home tonight it at around 60mph it just starting loosing power/speed and felt lumpy when i accelerated. Once i slowed down for traffic lights it was ok then back upto 60and it was fine the next 2 miles then on 40 and 30 roads fine till i got home?
   
   Oh yeah when ever it was rough there was a wierd rotten egg smell as well?
   
   Any ideas?

   i had a similar problem n i found that it was my coil pack mate, hope this helps

   mine did this mate...check your wiring on your coil pack cos thats whats causing mine but if your wiring is fine then its more than likely your coil pack like said above
