Whining noise

    Just drove my car and its developed a loud whining noise. it sounds like a grinding noise when idle but when driving and i press the clutch it whines when the revs drop. any ideas what it could be?

    when was the clutch last replaced?

    when moving the noise is like an electric motor noise...

    well on idle it sounds like a grinding noise. its coming from the bottom of the engine bay but unclear what side. when driving it gets slightly louder but the pitch stays the same of the whine. could that still be the clutch?

    get a mechanic to have a look as they should be able to help you out
    bit hard for people on a forum to identify the problem dude trip to the garage i reckon

    was the thrust bearing in clutch. cheers ppl
