Head bolts

    Iv stripped my head down the last few days and reseated the valves and now its come to the point of fitting it up iv fitted most things back to the head and gone to put the head bolts in that i got from euro parts and the bolts are 2 inches longer! would it be ok to fit the old ones do you think? iv got the thickest of the thickest headgaskets that you can get so i cant see the bolts will be loose, surely they will stretch abit more due to the gasket being thicker?

    You are always best to fit new head bolts, the old ones will already have stretched.

    you can fit them but its advisable not to tbh, id take the longer ones back and get the correct set.
