hi the other day i took my car to a local garage to get my exhaust welded but it turned out the lamba sensor on the manifold had popped out so he said he would weld it in. but he looked down the hole and said the cat was blocked thats what will be making your car splutter. so i said well il chap the cat out. but he said il just do it now. so he put a metal bar down the lamba hole and started smashing it. i then drove away thinkin i should go home take the cat off and make sure it clear but i had to go some where so any way it started bogging and then cut out so i just got towed. went back cleared it out and it was really blocked up. it would not start so put new plugs in it and it fired straight away. but burning alot of oil like really bad u cant even see its that bad any ideas to what it could be. oil had also gone into exhaust.

#2probably had an oil burning problem in the first place and thats what wrecked the cat and blocked it up, now the cats clear all the crap is being blown out of the back. was it the lambda in front of the cat that had popped out?
