I did take the HT leads off though but i put them back on longest to shortest so the longest cable went to the furthest plug.

    Why wont it start?

there on wrong, search to find the order, 8v aint my thing, so dont know the order from the coil to cyl's

ive found the order its 1-3-4-2 so i connected from the distributor like this

    Cable one to plug 1
    Cable two to plug 4
    Cable three to plug 2
    Cable four to plug 3

But when I pulled the leads off first I pulled them off using the lead not the head so have I damaged the internal wire of the lead?

you can check put a spark plug in one, make sure the threaded bit is touching bare metal on the engine, get a mate to turn the car over. Best to pull the fuse for the fuel pump aswell. check all leads.

So some are right and some are wrong. Just check them over and make sure they are in the right order. Does the coil have numbers on it or number 1 markings?

Ye it does but no worries no mate ive fixed her, turns out when I took the cover off I unclipped the breather hose to get it off but then never put the clip back on so in otherwords the breather hose wasnt air tight on the rocker cover but after a while of scratching my head I realised it was.

    Clips off garden hoses FTW!!

That wouldn't effect the running of the engine one bit. Are you sure you didn't mean the vacuum pipe that goes between the manifold and fuel pressure regulator?

errr its the pipe which goes from the top of the rocker cover to the air box thing.

    Look at this http://www.saxperience.com/forum/sho...d.php?t=187094

Scroll down to the pictures of a read saxo with the bonnet open click to make it bigger then look at the rocker cover see the thickish pipe coming from the top of it into the air box the end which was attached to the rocker cover didnt have a clip on it so was letting air in.
