Can any one in Birmingham fit some parts for me....

   Urgent help needed! Need a clutch kit, head gasket and handbrake cables fitted.
   I can get the parts off euro car parts at reasonably cheap prices.
   I dint have any mechanical knowledge and dint know or haven't got the time to get these parts fitted.
   Sorry if this is in the wring forum, I'm in my phone and don't have much time off from work.
   I would need the headGasket skimmed and refilled etc etc
   handbrake cables are fully gone
   and my clutch has fully gone also.

   Ye I went to a garage and they quoted me like 450 quid to fit ! Ridiculous.
   The car is in Northfield mate

   If you were the other side of Brum I would have done it for you, except the skimming which you'd have had to have got done yourself. I'm not a professional either.
   
   That garage price is about right. Actualy I'd say almost cheap compared with some garages who'll charge 400 just for the gasket change

   id consider that quite reasonable considering you are basically splitting the engine and then splitting the gearbox too!
   
   Lots and lots of labour, even a weekend 'mechanic' isnt gonna be wanting less than £200-300 for that lot, id go garage for peice of mind, if your gasket goes straight away again is a friend of a friends mate who fixes cars going to be interested in doing it again for free? .. no he isnt!

   Hmm true say, so... Even with the parts I can get myself, would you say I go to the garage quoting 450?
