   yes and no.
   
   your lambda sensor, after CAT might decide to cause it to come on.
   is it plugged in or just tied up out the way and the pipe been plugged?

   Nope! It shouldnt do mate. Could be the emissions have tricked it some how, 02 change or something!

   well i have not got the de-cat on yet i was just wondering if the light would come on
   because i am going to be fitting one to my car on the weekend

   it can though, if the second lambda hasnt been plugged in!
   on a cold start up, and its not very hot out! it will pick up the temp change!
   
   dont forget the 2nd lambda pics up the heat to controll emissions!
   if its reading colder than what the first lambda is saying, somethings wrong in the mind of the car!

   mine came on the other week never had it before then just went off i presume its to do with me decat.
