Headrest Enquiry?

   Hi,
   
   Trying to settle a debate with my brother and dad,
   
   Question is: Do you have to have the headrests on the front seats or are they optional??
   I know they are needed in a crash to help with the neck but my bro thinks it looks better

   didnt think you have to have them, could be wrong tho!. obviously they are there now in all cars for a bit of whiplash protection. why would you not want them anyway?

   dont think there a legal requirment. i may be wrong but there are cars ( as said above ) that dont have them and i presume they are legal.
