    Any problems likely to occur?

Trying to do research before commiting to buying, unlike a few people

Will also determine if Im going to be a tight arse and go used or spend more on a brand new set.

Ideally you'd want to make sure they're run in as per the manufacturer and come with the followers they were run in with.

Any scores on lobes and on the bearing surface.

As above, also check it over for any major damage such as chips and cracks as that would be VERY bad if they were installed in that condition. I say this as there were a set of PH3s on here a couple of months ago that had very bad damage.

very rarely does a camshaft go wrong so you should be fine buying second hand. as long as there is no visible damage i'd have thought you will be fine!
