Important! : FAO: Knowledgeable people...Cam cover bolts 16v

    Right i need to replace my coilpack cover bolts and the cam cover bolts.

    The coilpack cover bolts are M6 16

    The Cam Cover bolts are M6 20

    (16 & 20 meaning the length in mm)

    The place i went to at lunch have the M6 16 bolts in stock but NOT the M6 20 bolts!!

    1. Is there any specific reason for the Cam Cover bolts to be 20mm long??
    2. Would i get away with fitting the 16mm blots in the cam covers??
    3. Will that 4mm result in my car blowing up? lol

    The cam cover bolts just seem to go into the thickness of the head.

    In my mind i think they will be ok but i wanted to double check with the knowledge of Sax-P

    can you get longer ones cut them to lengh

    Im sure the 16mm length would be fine, BUT, personally id wait until you can find the correct length, or if you do get the 16s replace them for 20s at the earliest opportunity if its urgent that you have to buy some today
