Important! : torx screws on front seats?

    right im trying to get my front seats out but the two torx screws near the handbrake will NOT budge they are burning the motor out on my screw driver thingy lol

    any suggestions?

    get a proper tool such as a breaker bar or long ratchet and use some muscle mate

    i had this problem...just get a sockets out and give it a good yank.

    a ratchet wouldnt work would it mate? as its a torx screw

    you can get torx sockets for ratchets (male and female)

    mine were awkward to get out but a torx on the ratchet worked a treat.

    its a torx fitting extension for the socket set. had to buy a bigger torx fitting from b&q.

    im not very technical either so dont no how much help id be

    didnt realise you could get those :\ any suggestions instead of using those?

    you should be able to get them individually, i just showed you that to prove they exist

    try a borrow one from a mate tbh

    only thing i no of is a lock the electric screwdriver youve got and do it manually if your strong enough

    ahh ill have a look about then mate see if i can get one

    none of my mates will have one cause im the only one that really messes with cars lol

    only thing to do is lock the electric screwdriver youve got and do it manually if your strong enough

    didnt make sense the 1st time round

    large t40 socket from halfords, much better than the rubbish little end pieces!
    plus if you do quite a bit of work on your car youll find it does come in pretty usefull that size, its only a few quid, less than a fiver i do believe

    I soaked mine with WD40 and left them for a bit went back and they were easy to get off

    yeah i eventually got them off thanks to everyone who helped

    ive now got the problem of no seat belts :\

    i need belt buckles because the original ones are connected to the standard seats

    i think ive sorted some out off a mini anyway now

    the buckle just comes off no problem, just need a 17mm (iirc) spanner or socket

    what seats are you putting in now?

    pinch the 1s off of the back bench seat
