rear brakes mot fail

   had the mot today and failed on 3 points, i cant remember the exact wording of the fail cert, but it was something like 1, service brake little or no effect, 2, r/h rear brake little or no effect, 3, l/h rear brake little or no effect, so the rear brakes arnt working
   
   visually the rear brakes look fine, plenty of brake pad and the disc are ok, the mechanic who took my car to the mot station can not look at my car until tuesday as he is away from tomorrow,.........is there anything i can check myself in the mean time, i dont normally do brakes, could it be seized calipers, brake servo unit or something like that?

   take the discs off and put a screwdriver inbetween the grooves on the piston on the caliper and spin it round , its probably siezed, they always do. cheap french calipers
