HELP-rounded of nut

    discovered a blowing exhaust recently, beleive it coming fom the manifold so the other day i went to remove it and ive managed to round of the nut on the last bolt. is there any other way of getting it off...have tried getting the moulgrips on it but no luck because theres not enough room

    any advice is welcome.

    Get a set of irwin extractors - they are superb and I've got a 100% hit rate with them, work everytime!!

    Google/eBay them - they always come in handy!

    If your on a budget then hammer an imperial socket that you don't mind scuffing up a bit on it. Has never failed if you have the right size.

    Also, what bolt is it as the bottom ones can be a pain and not a lot of room for sockets etc

    in the workshop we use some snap-on rounded nut/bolt sockets, they have a swirled serated edge inside and when fitted over the rounded nut and turned anti clockwise the gouge into the nut and capish never failed me, infact they hold onto rounded nuts that well i have then sheared off the stud that the rounded nut was on haha i hate rusty manifold bolts
