Fitting 6" K&N

basically, bought a K&N air filter off a mate for £15

    http://www.knfilters.com/search/prod...x?Prod=RE-0930

No silicone hosing with it, but you can see where the previous owners cut a hole in the rubber base to slot the oil breather in to it

basically, im looking at doing the same and fitting this sucker straight to throttle body, and leaving half the original air feed to supply a cold air feed.

on top of my air box though theres the oil breather pipe, and a pipe at the back of the lid, that runs down into the car.

What is this and does this now mean im going to HAVE to have tubing in place

Sorry for really noobie questions, looked good to fit, but on second glances, not too sure

This is the tube i mean...

And this is my plan (just imagine airbox gone, and filter on throttle body)

if this hose just requires air... anything to stop me fitting a small air filter like you can do with the oil breather?

Okay... no one replied to so got my hands dirty so to speak... looks of it that pipe goes into the car (thorugh firewall) so guessing its the blowers pipe?

just going to order two 19mm air filters off ebay, one for oil breather and one for this pipe...

Anyone shed any more light for me before i order two.

is 19mm too big, too small?
