   was heat wrapped still burnt through it... to much heat comes off it to sit that close!

   Worst bit is the mess left by the melted plastic housing on the manifold.
   
   You can convert the oil filter setup to the mk1 one though which will solve the issue. Not great considering that you expect it to be a simple fit ad forget about it jobby with no hassle.
   
   Parts to convert oil filter are about £20 if you get the shorter mk1 oil pressure sensor too

   I was thinking about buying one of these aswell, heard a few people say they're fine and miss the oil filter.

   its just annoying how they say it misses the oil filter the only reason why i bought it.. then it just melts through it...
   Mayaswell of got a raceland now for cheaper what a joke

    Yeh mate had heat wrap and everything on burnt straight through the oil filter and well yeh alot of oil went everywhere lol...

    Totally agree, go back to the people you bought it from, if it says it misses it then prove it doesnt by sending in the pictures.

    now ive calmed down a bit and had a think about im just going to adapt it to the mk1 oil filter learn a bit more about my car i guess lol and help for future reference (: just hoping somewhere will have the parts on the spot... but i doubt it =\ can get a mk1 oil filter easily but the adapter i cant see going so well
