Mixing suspension help

Posted a thread about the fact i have spax dampers that have been leaking.

Im thinking of getting some B8's to replace them but i like the height of my Spax -40mm springs.

Will they be suitable for use with the B8's or are they likely to take away any of the benefit of spending the extra money on the B8's? If they are not suitable is there another set of springs that will give the same drop but compliment the B8's better? How important are the springs in the setup or is most of the important work done by the dampers?

The roads around me are awful so hopefully the B8's will give me a slightly less crashy ride.

The B8's should be a good match. Spring quality may not offer as good a ride as more expensive units such as eibachs but the bilsteins will outperform the spax dampers.

We have a discount code for bilstein at the moment to save you a few quid

Yea thats why i thought about the B8 as you have them on offer!

Really undecided about springs. I dont want the height to change and the Eibach sportline springs drop by 45 - 50mm but i also dont want to find the ride is crap and have to take the suspension apart again to change the springs! This is how mine looks at the moment.

Opinions? Would the Eibach Sportline springs look about the same?
