Pas pump

    Hi when i turn my ignition on without starting the engine occasionally my pas pump comes on and all i can hear is the motor spinning ? im going to get some fluid tonight to see if this cures it . But does anyone know why its doing this ?

    you sure what you're hearing isnt just the fuel pump priming?

    yeah mate put my hand on the pump definately the power steering had to unplug the battery to stop it !

    Tried a new relay no good. Any ideas ?

    Try a new heater fan relay.

    Mine does it sometimes, i just turn it off, then on again and it's ok.

    For some reason my ignition is giving power to the pump and pas, i changed the relays and this hasnt helped. Could my problem be the same as the people have had with there pas and heater blower apart from unlike theirs mine stays on and with there's theres doesnt turn on ? does the power going to these parts involve an ignition switch ?
