Saxo vts mk2 abs light

    Hi there my abs light comes on every so often what can be causing this? And what areas can I check to fix it?

    The light doesn't alway come on every time I start the car

    Most likely seatbelt pre-tensioners but can't be 100% sure without a diagnosti check.disconnect battery leave for 15mins and unplug and reconnect the connections under the seats a few times.

    ABS light?? not the airbag light

    ive just thought, would it be a good idea to check the brake pad wear 8-(

    I would have said a faulty ABS sensor, but in that case, the ABS light should stay on all the time.

    One sensor might be on the blink - i.e sometimes reading resistance (no ABS light on), sometimes not (ABS light on).

    Check the resistance of the sensors using this guide. 1000 - 1100 ohms is ok, anything less and the sensor has had it.

    would i need to disconnect the battery to check for this??

    No mate, you're just measuring the resistance through the ABS sensors.

    You might need to unbolt the battery and drag it forward a bit to give you some room.

    mine does the same,there are some orange wires under front seats,make sure they connected properly and it should go off.

    sorry thought you said airbag light.
