Should i worry

So yesterday i came home with the fuel light on, knowing i didnt have time to fill her up yesterday, so this morning, i went out to go get some juice, first time i turned the key the car wouldnt start, second time the engine started revved then died, third time it started no problem. is this purely because of the low petrol level or something i should look into, bearing in mind i recently put a brand new battery in it, and its just passed its mot this month. am i fretting over nothing.? lol

    ps its a vtr

Don't panic, sometimes when I start mine I let go of the key a fraction early and it stalls then takes a bit more to start up than normal. BTW you will still get about 60 miles on the light but it's not recommended really due to possibility of pump sucking up sediment from the tank.

the light comes on when there is exactly 4 litres left in the tank

i shouldn't worry unless the problem persists, if it does then look into it a bit more.

Jesus, why do people think it will suck up shit into the engine? This is what fuel filters are for, one in the tank and one before the engine.

Mine will fail to start 1 out of 100 times but then straight away on the second turn. However mine keeps giving an engine light error on the injectors...

as said its in the owners manual
show me where i said anything about a hill ?
if its lying on a hill upwards then obviously the sensor is at a position in the tank at where it thinks there is 4 litres left.

    soo shhhhhhh

sometimes wen i park on a hill if the car faces upwards the back looks lower but if i park sideways with the lefthand side upwards the rite hand side looks lower but the petrol gauge reads full.then i switch of the ignition and turn the key till the ignition lights come on i then turn on the the radio onto classical and clap once and the car starts but the petrol gauge reads empty.strange ehhh.
