VTR Power Steering and Air Bag warning Light.

   Hi. I have a steering problem with my 2001 Y reg VTR.
   The power steering does not work, it is very stiff and it has been like that for a few months.
   But when i go over a deep pot hole it kicks my power steering back into life and then when i switch off the engine then turn it back on the Power steering doesn't work again. Could anybody help.

   I have exactly the same problem in my vtr. Shit thing.

   And i thought i was the only one. Hopefully somebody can give us some advice.

   next time the pas dont work, open the bonnet and hit the pump with hammer, if that makes it work then the pump is on its way out, new one on exchange basis at about £200 i think it is.
   
   or some one can refurb it for you i think
